Head of the department of ac machines design of the Institute of Electrodynamics of NAS of Ukraine (since 2000 until now).
Winner of the State prize of Ukraine in the field of sciences and technology, and the prize of AS of USSR named after G.F. Proskura.
Author of over 180 scientific works and over 40 inventions of machines’ constructional solutions.
The main direction of the scientific activities of O.I. Tytko is an investigation of the efficiency, reliability and operating safety of ac power electric machinery.
Scientific achievements of the scientist are his works in the field of electromechanics, power electric machine engineering and electrical engineering, including the development of methods and means of theoretical and experimental study of electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical processes in turbo- and hydrogenerators, the development of the theory and means of functional monitoring, optimization of operating modes and maintenance of power electric machinery.
